Prepare a video for connected TV advertising

Connected TV (CTV) ads play on internet-connected televisions and streaming devices. Prepare the video for the advertising network and placement you will use; exporting a video does not establish campaign eligibility or guarantee delivery.

LinkedIn CTV delivery checklist

Checked November 6, 2026 against LinkedIn’s CTV Ads specifications. Recheck that page before uploading.

  • MP4 with H.264 video; 16:9 landscape.
  • 1920 × 1080 or 1280 × 720 pixels; 1920 × 1080 is recommended.
  • Constant frame rate: 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 or 30 fps, based on the native rate.
  • Video bitrate: at least 1.2 Mbps; recommended 15–40 Mbps.
  • Audio: two channels, −23 integrated LUFS, PCM (16 or 24 bit, preferred) or AAC; at least 192 Kbps and 48 kHz sample rate. Audio duration must match the video.
  • Duration: 6, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 seconds. Recommended durations, where applicable, are 6, 15, 30 and/or 60 seconds. Some inventory does not accept 75 or 90 seconds.
  • Maximum file size: 500 MB.
  • Chroma subsampling: 4:2:0 generally; 4:2:2 recommended.

Before uploading

  1. Check the exported file’s actual codec, dimensions, duration, bitrate, frame rate and audio settings. Changing the filename extension does not convert the file.
  2. Preview on a large screen. Keep text and branding legible at viewing distance, use a clear message and check that essential information is not cropped.
  3. Review captions and any call to action for the placement. Do not assume a TV ad has a clickable overlay.
  4. Upload a test asset and resolve the network’s validation errors before scaling the campaign.
  5. Compare creative variations using the reporting available for your campaign; do not assume a particular result or return on investment.

These are LinkedIn delivery requirements, not a list of settings guaranteed by every Picsart API endpoint. Use the controls documented for your chosen tool, and inspect the final file.
